Obituary of Michael Allen Darnell

Darnell, Michael Allen, 60, formerly of Spencer, IA, passed away on October 6, 2019 in Spring Hill, FL. Michael was born in Spencer on September 28, 1959. He has lived in Florida for over 20 years. He retired as a Staff Sergeant from the United States Air Force where his job included Photo Intelligence. His last post was at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL.

Michael is now a Silent Key with Amateur Radio (KD7TOZ). He was a diver, animal lover and enjoyed making others smile and laugh. 

Michael is survived by his wife of 14 years, Darlene Johnson, his mother, Donette Hanson, his brother Patrick (Melissa) Darnell, Darlene’s Children: Andrew (Jackie) Hohn and Charity (Carl) Hartson, and 8 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will take place at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:30 AM. Following the Celebration, Michael will be interned with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
