Obituary of Thomas J. Hennessy

HENNESSY, THOMAS J., passed away on June 21, 2019.

He was born in Manhattan on June 8, 1937 and moved to Spring Hill from Park Ridge, NJ in 2000.

Tom was a retired lithographer and a 26 year member of the Park Ridge Volunteer Fire Department.  He served as President of the Park Ridge Firemens' Association.  He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, a member of St. Joan of Arc Knights of Columbus Council 11317 and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3603.  He was a volunteer at the St. Vincent dePaul Society and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Spring Hill Lodge 521.  He served as a sergeant in the United States Army.

Predeceased by wives, Gloria Hennessy and Catherine Hennessy and a daughter, Lorraine Marin, he is survived by his loving wife, Janet, his son, Thomas and his daughters, Eleanor Van Wyck, Patricia Williams, Victoria Lehr, Catherine Ann Farinaro, Denise Patterson and Jennifer DePalma.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM on July 19, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, followed by inurnment at Florida National Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society, 1291 Kass Circle, Spring Hill, FL  34606
