Obituary of Charles Wesley McManigal

Charles W. McManigal (Chuck) of Spring Hill, FL, passed away July 20, 2022, at Brevara Hospital following surgery. A Virtual (Zoom) Memorial Service will be held on July 30, 2022, at 4:00 Eastern Time. Mark Barnett will be officiating. Pinecrest Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Chuck was Born 10-29-1934 in Horton, KS, to Clyde and Leila McManigal. Soon after, his family moved to Chicago, IL, and then to Michigan. Later he and his family settled in New Mexico for 44 years. Chuck attended Eastern Michigan University, where he studied music and was the student band director; while at the university, he also met his future wife, Jeannine Dysinger. Chuck and Jeannine were married on June 16, 1956. They went on to have three children: Dawn, Todd, and Beth. Chuck was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses; on August 31, 1957. He spent many years in his local community preaching and teaching about God’s Kingdom. He helped numerous ones study the Bible and progress to baptism. Chuck loved studying the Bible and remained a loyal servant to Jehovah until death. Chuck loved to travel with his wife. They were able to travel to 25+ countries. He loved music as a band director/teacher; he played all wind instruments and piano and organ, his favorite was the Trombone. He also loved to sing. The family home always had a piano and or organ. Many nights were spent gathering with friends to sing Kingdom songs. Chuck is survived by his children: Dawn Lanyon of Spring Hill, FL. Todd (Priscilla) McManigal of Rio Rancho, NM. Beth (Greg) Holsonback of Frisco, TX. Six Grandchildren: Eric (Jills) Sells of Tiffin, IA. Alan Sells of Tampa, FL. Brian (Laura) Safari of Lake Dallas, TX. Kara McManigal of Colorado Springs, CO. Kevin McManigal of Albuquerque, NM) Kory McManigal of Albuquerque, NM. Great grandchildren - Maximus and Audrey . Brother Clyde (Buddy) McManigal of Hersey, MI and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charles is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jeannine McManigal, mother Leila Nelson, father Clyde McManigal, step father Leo James Nelson, and Sister Sally Snyder.
