Obituary of ELIZABETH THURMAN

THURMAN, ELIZABETH 87, of Spring Hill, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. She was a native of Scranton, PA and a resident of this area for the past 30 years coming from Detroit, MI. She retired as a department manager after 15 years with J. L. Hudson Department Store. Elizabeth was a member of the Brooksville Women's Club, VFW, she enjoyed crafts and yardwork. She also loved clowns. She is survived by her children, Thomas Paul, and his wife Michele Thurman, Starke, FL, Nancy Ann, and her husband, Robert Syme, Brooksville, Patricia Lynn, and her husband, John Foote, Vanceboro, NC; 3 brothers, Berkeley Ide, Gerard Ide and Edwin, and his wife, Laurel Ide; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Thurman, Dean & Scott Murphy, Michael Foote; 3 great grandchildren, Ariel Murphy, Aaron Murphy, and Cynthia Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas Paul Thurman (2011). Visitation will take place at Pinecrest Funeral Chapel, Cortez Boulevard on Wednesday, February 13, from 1:00-4:00PM followed by a funeral service at 4:00PM. She will be inurned with her husband at Florida National Cemetery on Friday.
