Obituary of Nancy Grace McKenney

Nancy Grace McKenney 79 of Spring Hill FL lost her courageous battle with cancer November 7, 2021. She was born in Auburn ME on February 10, 1942 to Lowell and Lillian McKenney. After graduating from Edward Little High School, Nancy moved to Washington DC to work for Senator Margaret Chase Smith, Senator Lloyd Bentson, the US Treasury Department and then Greenberg Traurig Attorneys. She retired to Spring Hill in 2002. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Vernon Crooker, and cousin Theresa Stockford and is survived by nephew Laurence Crooker, niece Dawn King, cousins Margaret Baker and Pam McAvoy. Nancy was an animal lover and enjoyed traveling. She often brought people together with her gentle kindness and love of laughter. Nancy will be greatly missed, but never forgotten by her many friends throughout the country, Bahamas, Australia and Ireland. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Nancy will be held December 16th, at 11am at Spring Hill United Church of Christ. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath, ME at a later date.
