Obituary of Cheryl Ann Kaman

Cheryl Ann Kaman was born on February 13, 1955 in New Haven, Connecticut; the daughter of the late Salvatore Milardo and Eileen Kaman. Growing up, Cheryl lived with her mother, Eileen, in Milford Connecticut; near aunts, uncles and cousins. She spoke often of those times in her life, especially the love and support of her family and close friends. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1973. Cheryl was married to Robert Joseph Holacik for 12 years (from 1982 - 1994), of which they had two children; Brianne Eileen and Brittney Ann Holacik. They lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Long Island before moving to Florida in 1988. In the early 1990s, Cheryl graduated from nursing school as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from St. Pete College, and worked for many years in geriatrics assisting elderly patients during their golden years until she retired. In her retirement, Cher lived in Spring Hill, FL with her beloved daughter, Brianne Holacik, and grandson, Joseph Stiles; to which they shared many trips and adventures together. Her pride and joy was certainly being the best Grammy and Mom she could. She loved to cook and create new recipes, and a full plate and belly were always a priority to her. Some of her other passions included gardening, sewing, movies & TV, and trivia. You definitely didn’t want to go up against Cher in a game of Trivial Pursuit! She also loved the ocean and going to the beach, and dreamed of having a little beach cottage right on the water someday. Cheryl is survived by her loving daughter Brianne Holacik, grandson Joseph, and granddaughters Faye and Peyton, her brother Jack Chamberlain and nephew Jack Jr., and her Aunt Madaleen Kaman Lazowsky; as well as an abundant host of dear family and friends to mourn her passing. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Brittney Ann Holacik. Cheryl Ann Kaman departed this life on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the age of 66. Throughout her life, Cher was a force. She had such a grand presence about her, and there was no way to miss when she walked into the room. She always had the best stories from her life to share, and tried to impart wisdom on anyone needing advice. There was a greatness about her spirit that lifted you up and pushed you forward. She was such a strong and caring person, and no matter the difficulty she always saw her way through. She lived by her own set of rules, and inspired us all to live life fully and authentically to the beat of our own drums. All those lucky enough to know her have had their lives touched and changed forever. Her love has left a permanent mark on our hearts. Cheryl will truly be missed by her family and friends. May she rest peacefully in Heaven above.
